This is a page where u can look at the notes from past lessons or this week's lesson. They will be cleared every time we have a test. Just to assure that no one will look at them. You have to use your own notes for that.Sorry. :o)

  What is a rune?:
          *letter in germanic alphabet.
          *a poem that makes magical things happen such as change the weather.
          *a language used in writing where almost every rune means a letter in the english alphabet.
          *something used in divination that can answer questions.
 
Notes for Lesson 2
 
How did the runes come about?
          *Odin hung on the tree of the world or Yggdrasil and picked up the runes just before he fell.
          *He supposively controls the runes.

          *Fehu-wealth, cattle
          *Uruz-order
          *Thurisaz-thorn
          *Ansuz-mouth,breath
          *Raidho-riding,journey
          *Kenaz-ingenious

~LESSON 3 *

Odin is known as the great rune master and speaks across the centuries to people *He said "'Help' one is called, for help is its gift, and helped you will be, in sickness and care and sorrow".

1.) Gebo(yee-boe): gift

2.) Wunjo(woon-yo): joy

3.) Hugalaz(haw-gaw-laws): hail, sleet

 4.) Naudhiz(now-these): year, good season, harvest

5.) Isa(ee-saw): ice, iron, metal

 6.) Jera(yare-awe): year, harvest

Notes Lesson 4

*Volsunger tribe had a lot of knowledge of runes.   They were the guardians of the primordial forests.  They helped anyone and anything suffering great need.  They taught people about the runes. 

1. Iwaz(eye-wawz): no meaning 2. Pertho(perth-row): hunt 3. Elhaz(all-yeese): protection, help 4. Sowilo(sow-wee-low): sun, victory 5. Tiwaz(tea-wawz): north pole, star, lodestone 6. Berkano(bear-kawn-oh): birch tree

Notes for Lesson 5

1.)  Ehwo (ay-wawz):  horse

2.)  Mannaz (mawn-nawz):  human

3.)  Laguz  (law-gooze):  lake, water, sea

4.)  Ingwaz  (eeng-waz):  no meaning

5.)  Othalo  (oath-awe-la):  land

6.)  Dagaz  (thaw-gauze):  day
